Progress Over Perfection

This was my mantra for the first few months of my business.
I had to overcome the fear of being visible, get my socials up and running, put up a website and start telling people I was becoming a life coach.
I kept telling myself over and over, progress was better than nothing & my coach instilled in my head "progress over perfection".
If you currently find yourself with a big goal you'd like to achieve but you're not making progress towards it, I'd like you to ask yourself if you're waiting for everything to be perfect?
If you wait until things are just right before you begin taking action, I hate to break it to you but you'll be waiting forever.
Big action is more important than it being perfect.
I knew that my first few IGTVs were going to be embarrassing, my insta-stories would be rough and my posts would be basic. This is because as a beginner, you can't possibly expect to be excellent.
Excellent comes after practicing over and over, BUT the only way you can get to that level of success you're eyeballing is by starting. Starting messy is a heck of a lot better than never starting at all.
And I can't tell you how grateful I am that last July I got over myself and posted to Instagram for the very first time - I got started.
Since then I've taken massive action, I've really adopted a "progress over perfection" mindset and it's led me to have a business and working with paid clients who I adore.
If I had stayed in an "I have to wait until this is just right" mentality, I would've never gotten to where I am now.
Where are you currently holding yourself back with a perfectionist mindset?
What messy action could you take to just get the ball rolling?
